What would anybody do if they had a machine that wouldn't work. You kick it, right? There are some who feel the machine of Methodism has ceased to work. We have tried various ways to fire it up, but the thing just won't start. This was John Wesley's fear [reference]. What should we UMs do? Perhaps it's time to kick at the machine.
