The piece was difficult to play. I had spent about two months on it, meticulously playing it over and over trying to get it just right. My guitar teacher would have nothing less than perfection. Each week I would make progress, but, I just couldn't get through the Bach piece without messing up somewhere. So, he would send me home to work on it a little bit more.

Over the past two months I have celebrated Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's and moved. It was the moving part that really got me behind in just about everything. Next on my agenda is a class in my D. Min program. I'm feeling like I'm getting closer to catching up with everything. That includes this website and the Facebook page and other fun projects.

I've been hesitant to write about the purchase of a new parsonage. This is in my 'blog' section because it is more of my reflections that anything else.

When my family moved to our current appointment we went from a 3000 sq. ft. house into a 1350 sq. ft. house. I have a wife and four children in this small, cramped parsonage (which has 1 1/2 bathrooms). Now I know in many places in the world this would be considered a palace, but here, not so much.

Summer vacation is over for my kids. So, today, is the first day that all four of my kids have been in school and my wife is at work (at the school library). This means the house is empty and quiet. It seems like this summer has been very busy with camps, vacations and school (for me). Add to that VBS the 4H fair and other activities it seems like I have not had time to catch my breath.

As I think about this new site and what I believe it should be I find myself asking, what is a missional Methodist anyway? I also add to that, What is a missional Methodist movement? Why am I creating this site?

Yes...time certainly does slip away. About a month or so ago Jeff and I thought by July 19th this site would be up and running and we would be promoting it all over the place.

Well, Jeff talked me into adding a new domain name and website in to the mix of my life. So here is the brand new Missional Methodist Movement website.
